This site is a tribute to Gaynor, who was born in Wolverhampton on October 15, 1950. This amazing lady raised me single handedly, full time working, no family in 30 mins drive, ALWAYS striving for the best. I say that as the Mum of two littlies with my fab in laws over the road, and I dont know how she did it. Dad Peter Whorton was always there if needed, but geographically far. She had a heart of fire, Fiercely, she loved you, and told you it was time to go to bed. I have so many happy memories as a child, 'doing' the house, lovely times with Aunty Val and Uncle Ron, letting me indulge in rabbits and other peoples ponies to which she was seriously/clinically allergic, my own kids pets would die!!!!, I was a Terrible Teenager and stressed her more than was good for anyones health but after all, she stuck by me, never met a work ethic like it since! She met the lovely Roger Grainger who no doubt helped her through the teenage years, and happy times were had.....Roger had to pass too soon and then your time came, you fought so hard, I have been amazed by the phone calls some who didnt even know what the matter was and who thought you'd be home after lockdown. I hope you're both up there enjoying retirement, finally, you both very much deserve it. Xxx I cant praise the support I had from Dorothy House Hospice and the Shepton Mallet Community Nurses highly enough, and my GPs at Oakhill Surgery. Everyone was, on point, on time, with time, organising beds and overnight carers to be delivered in an instant. Compassionate, caring, understanding and realistic. When it really mattered. Under COVIDduress and under PPE. Please donate and add comments and or photos, Thank You. X
